Despite Weather Setbacks, Bills Stadium Construction Pushes Ahead
The Buffalo Bills' new stadium project has encountered some challenges due to the harsh winter weather, but the team remains optimistic about its progress. According to Michael Petro from the BUFFALO NEWS, the construction has faced delays caused by snowstorms and cold temperatures, yet the project is still moving forward.
"It's really starting to look like a stadium now," said Bills President of Business Operations, Pete Guelli. "We're in a great place." This statement was made approximately five months before the stadium's projected substantial completion date, which is over $2 billion. Guelli assured that the construction crews are working tirelessly, day and night, seven days a week, regardless of the weather, to ensure the stadium is ready for the 2026 season. He emphasized their commitment to meeting this deadline, stating, "If there’s anything we need to pick up, we will throw the resources at it to make it happen. I have no concerns about that building opening on time."
The team's determination to overcome these setbacks is a testament to their dedication to delivering a world-class facility. As the project continues, the Bills are confident that they will address any challenges that arise and deliver a stadium that meets their high standards.
